HOLD ON TO YOUR MOJO
Yet again Mr Page gives us his best, a great soulful, jazzy, bouncy tune, as a National Scooter Rally Dj I would have no worries spinning this tune in my main set, as a link over from northern soul to 79 mod or vice versa, a huge fan of the brass section, and Dave Winthrop and Co come across very well in this track with a splash of keyboards this track will grow on many people... Well worth buying just for this track alone, personally I would by the 7" 2 track version to avoid all 3 tracks, I will explain......
ITS GROWING
and it would have to(keep growing on me) cos its just not working for me, it starts almost the same as TRACKS OF MY TEARS but in a different key then it seems to go no where, a hint of OTIS REDDING but it just didn’t work for me, sorry lads.... Now get rid of the vocals on this track and we would have a northern stomper
TRACKS OF MY TEARS
eeekkkkk the first 10 seconds of this track finished it for me, Ian Page deep voice is painful, then it works well after Ian finds his voice again, but damage done at the start. Now I have seen the band do this cover live and they do it well, so why oh why did they put that awful start on it
